Despite the fact that nitrites and nitrates are two distinct chemicals, some individuals use them interchangeably.
Both nitrites and nitrates are organic inorganic molecules consisting of nitrogen and oxygen that are found in nature. The main distinction is that nitrites only contain two oxygen molecules while nitrates have three.
